This multimedia tool is useful for those who have no. of hotspot images. By using this tool, one can see the different objects within a image having multiple hotspots along with the tool-tip if available.

This tool has been developed using Active Server Pages under Windows 2000 Server. VBScript and Javascript has been used in the ASP pages. MS-Access has been taken as the backend database. .

Description :

The database 'hotspot.mdb' is having one table which contains the hotspot points of the different objects in one image, tool-tip related to those objects and filename etc.

Viewer is using three asp files. Details are as under :

Hotspot1.asp is the main file which is using three frames.

In the header frame, only header information is given, which one can change according to individual center's requirement and this is optional information.

In the left frame, Hotspot2.asp file has been called which opens a connection with the backend database, opens a new recordset and displays all the thumbnails of the images having hotpsots.

In the right frame, Hotspot.asp file has been called. This file opens a connection with the backend database and retrieves all the records pertaining the image-link clicked by the user. Then the image is displayed along with the hotspot area defined by the points given in the database. .

How To Use :

Copy the three asp files in the folder where server side script files are available. Copy the database in the database folder and give the link to the section where this tool will be used in the website.
